Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSA) is a common respiratory illness associated with sleep disturbances, snoring, and respiratory failure in a dream for ten or more seconds. Add to this a reduced concentration of attention, daytime sleepiness, anxiety, and depression. This disease affects more than 100 million people worldwide.
On March 14, World Sleep Day, the launch of the Sleep Powers 2014 global program was announced to raise people’s awareness of the importance of healthy sleep for a fulfilling life. In Russia, in support of the international initiative, the first ever clinical study was launched to identify obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and CPAP (CPAP) effectiveness – therapy – one of the main methods of treating this serious disease.
